Fog City Community Fitness is a member owned, managed, and operated gym.

FCCF is led by our board, which is elected annually. Members keep the gym running by actively contributing to the facilities, coaching, finance, and communications and community engagement teams.

 Gym Rules

Embrace the “Community” in Fog City Community Fitness

  • Be welcoming to all members.

  • Participate in virtual and in-person discussions and events.

  • Support the Board.

  • Become a coach.

A Clean Gym is a Happy Gym

  • Clean and put away your equipment and your station after every workout. 

  • Ask if coaches need help.

  • Leash your dog and ensure they stay outside or in the “dog corner” near the fridge.

  • Kids should stay in the kids’ room and clean up the space before leaving.

Take Care of Our Equipment

  • Never drop a barbell.

  • Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

  • Keep control of your equipment.

Let Coaches Coach

  • Listen to coach cues during the workout.

  • Share injuries or limitations with coaches before class.

  • Don’t coach other athletes during class

  • If you see an issue, tell a coach.

Take Sign-ups Seriously

  • If you sign up, come early or on time.

  • If you can’t come, cancel early.

Support Your Swolemates!

  • Cheers and friendly trash talk welcome.

  • Offer high-fives or fist bumps, and emojis on BTWB.

  • Check in with each other, in and out of the gym.

  • Find a peer for some friendly competition.

  • Wait until WOD is done before putting away equipment.
